Using verbal report methods in validating tests

Using verbal reports as test-taking strategies has been given momentum in test validation. The presenter will describe how he used think-aloud protocol as a valuable method to measure the reading proficiency level of a representative sample of test-takers majoring in International Business Administration program from a college in Oman.

Dr Sahbi Hidri holds a PhD in language assessment. His area of expertise includes SLA and socio-cultural approaches to assessment, evaluation, dynamic assessment, test design, test-taking strategies, conceptions and practices of assessment and validation.
