University Writing Centers: Uses, Functions, and Shortcomings

This presentation will present on findings from a research project that was conducted at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) with respect to the importance of proofreading for students, as well as, the general shortcomings of university writing centers in regards to this aspect of the writing process.

EFL Lecturer, UAEU

David Litz is presently working as an ESP lecturer at UAE University. He has taught in a variety of K-12, as well as, adult contexts around the world.

Allison Smith

EFL Lecturer, UAEU

Allison Smith is currently an ESP lecturer at UAE Univesity. She has taught in a wide variety of international contexts including: South Korea, Canada, and the UAE.
