Changing EFL Students’ Negative Attitudes towards Writing

In addition to their traditional role, writing centres can be very effective in nurturing a love for writing in ESL/EFL students. The presenter will demonstrate how he has succeeded at changing many EFL students’ attitudes towards writing through a variety of innovative activities in a writing centre. Intended audience:new teachers.

Doctoral Teaching Assistant, University of Constantine 1

Djalal Tebib is a doctoral student and a teaching assistant at the University of Constantine 1 (Algeria). He is also a volunteer tutor at the American Corner Constantine. His areas of interest include learner autonomy, meta-cognition and writing.
