The present study measures English Foundation students' awareness of plagiarism and how their teachers deal with it. Forty students and 20 instructors were surveyed. Results indicated that students lacked awareness of plagiarism because its meaning had not been explained at school. Instructors used grade deduction to deal with plagiarism.
Dr. Rahma Al-Mahrooqi is an Associate Professor at SQU's Department of English. She has published widely in the the fields of reading, literature teaching and communication.
